How do I find out more?

You’ll need to come along to an information, guidance and advice session, which will help you to make sure that this is the right path for you. We’ll talk you through what you’ll learn during the course, and how you can make sure that you get a job at the end of your Apprenticeship.

When will it start and where will I need to study?

The first QA-IQ Advanced Apprenticeship will start in October 2008, so you need to have applied for your place in time to attend our assessment day in September.

The course will be running at locations in East and West London, so you’ll need to make sure you can travel to one of these every day. 

Worried about money?

If you’re worried about the cost of taking an Apprenticeship, then funding is available to help. If you’re between 16-18 then you may be eligable for an Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA). If you want to know more about this then give us a call and we can help you explore what you’re entitled to, or just visit www.direct.gov.uk/ema to find out if you're eligable.

What qualification do I get at the end?

At the end of the course you'll have achieved an IT and Telecoms Professional Advanced Apprenticeship. This is made up of:

• Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• Level 3 Certificate in ICT Systems and Principles for Advanced Apprentices
• Application of Number at Level 2
• Communication Level 2

What about finding a job after I’ve finished the Apprenticeship?

Having an Apprenticeship qualification shows employers that you’ve got a strong set of skills. We’ll help you to make sure you’ve got a CV that you can use to find a job, and that you know where to start looking. Throughout the course you'll get support, advice and guidance so you can start a job or continue in education when you've completed your Apprenticeship.
