Perl
Perl is a significant language of choice for many programmers
and developers. Its application capabilities are broad, in both
technology terms and the operating system platform on which it
can run.
Your essential Perl training
Perl is one of the most successful Open Source products,
proving itself adaptable to a wide range of tasks and
solutions. It has a huge following and a lively community,
whose members contribute to an extensive library base, CPAN,
which is the envy of other languages. The language itself is
flexible and powerful, with a wide range of options and
functions. Perl’s motto “There’s More Than One Way To Do It”
reflects the difficulty that untrained users can have in
navigating through its features. Perl’s roots are in UNIX, yet
its take up on other platforms, especially Microsoft Windows,
is particularly encouraging.
QA-IQ course materials include notes on Windows/UNIX
compatibility, with differences being clearly marked. Perl 5 is
under constant development and our instructors ensure that
material reflects the latest releases while being mindful of
backward compatibility.
All Perl courses offered by us are Performance courses, written
in-house. The most popular is the Perl 5 Programming course,
which should be treated as the essential grounding for all
future Perl developers.
We have also recently launched two unique Perl programming
courses specifically designed for professional Perl
programmers. These will allow gaining the latest Perl skills in
an intensive one-day learning experience: Perl 5 Object
Oriented Programming, which is an intensive Perl Object
Orientation skills extension course. Alternatively (or in
addition) you could attend Using the Perl DBI Module course to
extend you Perl Database skills.
